My mum loves a cruise and we found our experience informative and pleasurable. Staff were extremely friendly, and explained a lot about the history of what we were looking at. Would recommend this experience to others.

My partner and I used our SA experience voucher we won to enjoy this experience, and it didn’t disappoint! What a lovely morning spent aboard the Popeye enjoying our coffee & delicious scones. The scones were so yum, and were huge! Bare in mind not warmed up as I’d usually have them, but all the same they were still delish! As for the coffee I read other reviews stating that there was only instant onboard, so we pre planned and grabbed take away coffees from ITL at SkyCity before we boarded, best decision ever, highly recommended for those that aren’t a fan of instant coffee either. The Popeye staff were informative & helpful, with a side of dad jokes thrown in from the skipper lol, it was a fun, enjoyable morning. Must try.

Very enjoyable excursion! No worries with sea sickness, the trip was very smooth. The information on landmarks and the history of the city was interesting. Seeing Adelaide's architecture from the river was beautiful

What a wonderful and relaxing time on the Popeye. Such a simple pleasure, it’s like a trip back in time as we meandered along the Torrens River. The scones and cream were delicious and the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who drove the boat was very informative and a nice bloke. Thoroughly recommend this experience.

terrible experience from beginning to end 😣, popeye got there 10mins late, then had to wait another 15mins whilst they played around with motor and God knows what, only had 2 girls running it who looked no older than 20yrs old, inexperienced clearly, which was a real concern and possibly a safety issue🤔, , then we finally get on the popeye to almost have to fight for a seat, hard bench seats squished in like sardines, no cushions, no blankets,, terrible start... the tea/coffee supplied with scones (at a high price) 🙄is only instant coffee, with uht milk 😣, and scones are prepacked in a box, cold and dry. (disgusting really for the price) 😣. the Torrens River is so filthy, and full of rubbish, it was disgusting 😱... our cruise went for around 40mins, which we also had to stop twice to pick up more scones and drinks, the information given out over speakers throughout the short tour about adelaide was somewhat childish, little bits of it were informative but the rest was really boring😴 .. you could hardly hear the girl over the speaker .. I was most definately HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE, THE POPEYE ITSELF AND THE TOUR.... Won't come back or recommend, until positive change 😊

Whilst the boat cruise was only about 45 minutes and confined to a relatively small section of the River Torrens, the vista and scenery was great and the commentary insightful. Well done!
