Reviews
Firstly thank you Kylie for your flexibility in dealing with SA border being open, then closed, then opened again to us Sydney residents. This tour was definitely worth the reorganising and wait! Spent a very enjoyable afternoon with the charming & very knowledgeable Luca, where we learnt about the Island history whilst enjoy the very generous food & beverage tastings on offer. Would do this tour again & highly recommend to others. Cheers
Great experience, and a good way to see all the amazing sights the island has to offer. Luca, the guide was an absolutely amazing guide. Taking us to the most beautiful spots along the way to each stop, answering any questions and even giving little tips about where to go on the island. He was a friendly, informative and interesting guide, sharing stories and having a laugh with all on the tour.
Highly recommended this tour to anyone who is strapped for time but wants a way to see the island and enjoy all it has to offer.
Our driver Chris was prompt and had a sound knowledge of the attractions we visited.
If you call it a food and wine trail there should be more food.
The tour operator assumed the tour of the Beehive would be available without making a booking. The honey tasting was not available and the tour of the honey production was not provided.
The visit to the lavender farm did not include a tour. There was an opportunity to purchase items from the shop. Afternoon tea was provided and we had an enormous scone between the two of us.
Our visit to Turner’s eucalyptus Distillery was interesting. We watched a video about the history and production processes. We were able to sample the products. This stop also included an apple cider tasting.
Then onto Kangaroo Island Spirits to sample a range of gin.
Bay of Shoals vineyard for a wine tasting of 5 varieties of wine.
On our return to our hotel the driver took us to the historic mulberry tree and gave a brief history of European settlement on the island.
Kylie is a great guide, knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to a great number of the islands boutique food and alcohol outlets and adjusted the tour to suit our interests. Highly recommend this tour.
