Join Adelaide’s only hop-on, hop-off Barossa Valley winery tour service departing from the Adelaide CBD. A comfortable bus collects from the Stamford Plaza Hotel (Adelaide CBD) at mid-morning, then once in the region, we follow a recurring timetable circuit that takes 50-60 minutes to complete, in which time we visit all 10-15 of the selected venues. We follow this same timetable each and every hour until it’s time to return to the city in the late afternoon (approx 5pm). Each circuit takes approx 60 minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to sample that venue's offering. Along the way, you are free to hop-on or off at any of the selected stops on the timetable, so that in a full day tour you are likely to see up to 4 wineries of your choosing, at your own pace, and independently from the other groups on the bus. Return home to the city in the late afternoon, disembarking approx 5.30pm.

Stop At: Barossa Valley, Barossa Valley, South Australia

Barossa is a beautiful region, with historic villages, vineyards and farms dotting a patchwork vista. The scenery from within the cellar doors is as impressive as it is from the road, with tasting rooms steeped in history and atmopshere, or newly sited to make the most of stunning surrounds.

Stop At: Stamford Plaza Adelaide, 150 North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia

Experience the Barossa Valley as though you were driving yourself.

The trail features a variety of the region’s best offerings – whether it’s Maggie Beer’s must-visit shop, the wood fired pizzas and modern cuisine at Saltram, the bakeries, cheesemongers and cafes at Angaston and Tanunda, or the wonderful 'locavore' options at Charles Melton winery. Alternatively you could always bring a picnic and relax in the beautiful lush gardens of Yalumba.

We had a great time hopping on and off in the Barossa. Our driver was thorough, knowledgeable and set clear expectations. The Barossa was beautiful! We travelled in May which was a great time of the year. Definitely read the information provided, book the wineries/lunch ahead of time and have it set out before you board as you need that information before the bus heads off. Loved it!

Wonderful Barossa tour. It's really the best way to see Barossa. You can fit probably 4 wineries into one day including lunch. The bus will pick you up and drop you off everywhere. Always on time! And since you're not driving you're free the enjoy the wine at your leisure. Our driver Cherie was friendly and perfect. You really can't go wrong. The price is great and it will get you to and from the wineries of your choice. What's not to like?

The staff at Trail Hopper were exceptional - they were helpful, friendly, flexible and, in short, quite perfect. I took the hop on hop off tour to the Barossa Valley, which included a good variety of venues and experiences. The tour was well organised, allowing for each group on the tour to have a personalised experience. I would highly recommend this company.

The deal with this tour is you get to choose 4 destinations out of 10. You get 1 hour at each, or you can stay 2 hours at 1 destination, and in turn only choose 3 destinations. As I was travelling solo I choose 2 wineries, a town (to buy some lunch at the local pub) and the Maggie Beer Farm. In all, I was able to have 3 tastings and a couple extra glasses wines here and there to fill in my hour. I set my clock 10 mins before each time I was to be picked up, so that I would not miss the hop on hop off bus. I found the driver extremely friendly and knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the freedom of choosing which wineries I could visit in a day. My favourite was probably Yalumba - I found the landscape the most stunning.
