Right from the beginning this trip went well. Sarina who was our booking person was extremely helpful as we had to change our trip 3 times due to COVID. On the tour Piere our guide was knowledgeable about the island. The provided meals were great. A very busy two days.

I don’t know how but our Kangaroo Island Odysseys guide Nikki Redman must have superpowers. She was able to spot animals and birds from so far off it was incredible. During our two days with Nikki she would often gently slow the car and we would get out for up close looks at koalas, echidnas, peregrine falcons – the list goes on and on. We walked with Nikki to see the sea lions and seals as most tours do and which were terrific to watch however the breadth of Nikki’s knowledge of the island and its wildlife and the interesting way she shared information made our couple of days on Kangaroo island memorable in the best possible way. Nikki presented us with fabulous food and wine at two bush picnics yet the icing on the cake was being with Nikki while she let a koala drink from her water cup. Nikki is an amazing guide and an incredibly special person. If you get to spend time with her on Kangaroo Island you will thank your lucky stars.

I've just returned from a tour with the awesome Nikki Redman. She created a personalised, fascinating and fun filled experience that reflected her passion for the island and her desire for others to share it. Nikki knew that I wanted to see koalas in the wild and I was able to see so many! She has supersonic vision and we spotted lots of echidna, wallabies and of course kangaroos. Nikki is also a superb photographer and helped me to get lots of beautiful shots that I couldn't have done on my own. This is an exceptional tour - can't recommend it more highly.

We were a group of 4 adults and enjoyed this tour as part of a package promoted and sold through "Luxury Escapes". Nicky was our guide and from the very moment she greeted us off the ferry... her warm welcoming and effervescent personality was evident. We had the best time with her, criss crossing the beautiful Kangaroo Island, seeing all manner of wildlife and exploring some of the absolutely magnificent landscapes and many hidden gems, more off the beaten track. All with her expert commentary on all things natural and historical. Her knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Island was amazing.....and her enthusiasm and passion for what she does come across in her delivery of the tour. She went out of her way to ensure we had a jam packed couple of days.... making the most of every minute without it seeming rushed. She loves KI and her soul is in her job... it was so very much enjoyed by all of us. The memories of what we saw and her fabulous delivery of this tour will stay with me forever.

I can’t believe we did so much in two days. Guide Nikki is passionate about all nature and knowledgeable about the island’s history and inhabitants. The company has their own property which has so much wildlife. It was amazing to see Kangaroo Island regenerating so quickly. Over 2 days we saw at least 35 koalas and lots of other species all in their natural habitats. Bush picnic food each day was great also. I added an extra 2 days to my tour. Such a professional, helpful and personalised service. Linda54

Where do I start to describe Kangaroo Island, the tour with KI Odysseys and our guide, Nikki Redman. Wow, wow, wow is not enough! Kangaroo Island is spectacular with such a diverse landscape and amazing wildlife. My preconceived idea of KI was of the wild south-western coast at Flinders Chase National Park but I had no idea of the different regions: rolling hills and valleys of the north west; the east coast; the farmland of Parndana and the north coast; the awe of the south coast; and of course, the magnificence of the south west and Flinders Chase National Park. KI is huge - it's our third largest island off the mainland and is 7 times bigger than Singapore1 The Odysseys tour was SENSATIONAL. Being a small group tour (there were 4 guests on our tour) and the flexibility of the itinerary was wonderful. The lunches were devine. Served in natural bushland, we had lamb one day and chicken the next with salads, rice salad/couscous, bread rolls, red and white wine, soft drinks AND dessert. Amazing! All of these were served in individual bowls/plates for each of us and so keeping us covid safe. And then there's Nikki. There are not enough superlatives to describe or characterise Nikki. Her enormous wealth of knowledge on the history of the island, the wildlife and the natural formations was amazing. Her passion for her island and its wildlife and people is infectious. She almost had me liking goannas and snakes! Her willingness to help us understand what locals went through during the fires was told with such raw emotion and honesty that only a local who lives through it and experienced every aspect could tell - the incredibly deep lows and the inspirational highs. She gave us a first hand insight into what it was like and the deep scars that still remain as well as an enthusiastic hope for the future. Her knowledge about the history of the island was very special and added an extra layer to our experience. We got to see and do things that most tourists wouldn't even know existed: walk up Prospect Hill for the stunning views over the north, south and east of the island just as Matthew Flinders had done in the early 1800s; Duck Lagoon with its amazing trees and reflections; finding wildlife on our travels like echidnas, goannas, a tiger snake, various birds, koalas etc. We finished the tour and were buzzing for hours. It was such an awesome experience. Can't recommend Kangaroo Island Odysseys and Nikki enough. WOW!! Every Australian NEEDS to see KI the Odysseys way. Don't just put it on your bucket list ... DO IT!!
